OAU Appoints New Deputy VC

The Governing Council of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has announced the appointment of Prof. Mrs. Olubola Babalola, the first female Professor of Quantity Surveying in Africa as its new Deputy VC(Academic).

Prior to the appointment, Prof. Olubola was the Dean of the Faculty of EDM, the Chairman Committee of Deans, and now she has been appointed as the Deputy VC(Academic). She replaced Prof. A.S. Bamire who has just concluded his tenure in office.

The new Deputy VC will join in steering the affairs of the university for a non-renewable term of five years alongside the VC, Deputy VC (Administration), and other Principal officers of the institution.
