The Nation has been going on and off on ASUU strike, from warning strike to extension by 2-months to the recently added 12weeks strike.
Discussions have been going on and on, yet they haven’t been able to come to conclusion on what to do.
Nigerian Federal University Students might see a new fate as soon as Religious leaders appeal to the union to resume work.
The President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Professor Emmanuel Osodeke made it known on the 14th day of May that the Union will consider the appeal and make its decision known. He said “It is an appeal and our members would consider it. It is not a request but an appeal and appeals are usually for consideration”
However, he didn’t tell the exact date the Union will decide, he only said when the decision is taken, everyone will know.
All Nigerian students can do now is hope and wait for the union’s response, it might be a welcome back to school or a stay at home continuation.
