Breaking: Lecturer Blasts ASUU In An Open Letter Due To The Prolonged Strike

Due to the addition of another extra four weeks to the ongoing ASUU strike, a lecturer has voiced his concern in an open letter to union. The lecturer, who works in the department of Biological sciences, Federal University Gusau, implored the union to reconsider its decision and call off the strike.

He also mentioned that most of the benefits gotten from the aftermath of strike actions are often directed towards fulfilling the needs of Vice Chancellors and higher authorities in universities. He said while the universities claim 70% under the disguise of needing it for infrastructure and learning equipment, ASUU union claim 15% for maintenance, logistics and renovation of their secretariat while the small remaining 15% are shared among junior lecturers.
