Mavins record is a Nigerian music corporation founded on 8th May 2012. by record producer and recording artist Don Jazzy. This is shortly after the closure of MO’Hits Records owned by Don Jazzy and D’banj. Mavin music records is one of Africa’s leading music labels with lots of talented musicians signed into it. This music record is also very rich emerging as the second richest of all Nigeria Music Records
Mavins has a track record to prove a job well done in the musical industry. It has won many awards over the years. Just recently, Mavin emerged as the fastest growing entertainment brand in the entertainment category in the 2022 edition of the Global Brands Award.
Not only has the music label won many awards and nominations, but its artists have also won too under the music label. No doubt Mavins has produced and is still producing great and promising stars.
Over the years, Mavins has been serving us back-to-back classic hits in the likes of Dorobucci, Godwin, My Darlin, Adaobi, Bloody Samaritan, and Overdose. This would not be made possible without the presence of some greatest stars. Yes, behind every successful music label, there is a great musician too. 5. REEKADO BANKS
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known by his stage name Reekado Banks, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is a lover of Afrobeat. Spicy was Reekado Banks’ stage name before his record deal with Mavins Records. He signed with Mavins Records in 2014 and left in 2018. His hit single titled ‘Turn it up’ features Tiwa Savage. Reekado also gained more recognition being one of the singers of the severally awarded song Dorobucci.
While under the Mavins record, he won many Headies Awards like Rookie of The Year, The Next Rated Award, Most Promising Act of The Year Award, City People Entertainment Awards, Too Naija Music Award, and so on. All this in 2015
In 2016, Reekado Bank’s 21 -track debut album named Spotlight was released. This project got to the 10th spot on Billboard’s world chart and reached the best album of the year at the headies.
Though Reekado Banks has exited from Mavin Records after 5 years of being with them, he is still a part of their family.
4. KOREDE BELLO
Korede Bello is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He signed a record deal with Mavins Records in the year 2014. He is best known for his hit single “Godwin“. This song under Mavins Records brought him to the limelight. Godwin has been sung for years still it’s reigning. The song is just evergreen. It is indeed a classic hit.
Korede Bello has his Genre as Hip hop music, African popular music, Afrobeats, Pop music, Rhythm, and blues. He has featured in some Mavins awards-winning music tracks in the likes of Adaobi, and Dorobucci.

3. AYRA STARR
Ayra Starr is the stage name for Oyinkansola Aderibigbe. She is 20 years old. Ayra Starr sings a blend of Afropop, rhythm, blues, and Afrobeats. She was once a member of the Mavins Academy where promising young stars train.
She became activated as a Mavins musician in January 2022. The fast-rising Nigerian singer and female music phenomenon, Ayra Starr released a song named “Bloody Samaritan“. The new single was taken from her debut album ‘19&Dangerous‘ The single had over 23 Million global streams. This hit made her win Viewers Choice Award at the 2022 Headies Award.
In the year 2022, she had 8 nominations making her the most nominated female ahead of the Headies 2022. She was nominated for Best Vocal Performance, Best Collaboration, Headies Viewer’s Choice, Best Afrobeats Album, Album of The Year, Best R&D Single, Next Rated, and Best Afrobeats Single of The Year.
She won the Best Next Rated Award and she becomes the youngest singer to receive that award. She has been performing excellently under the music record. She keeps giving out classic and mind blowing hits shaking the globe.
2. REMA
Divine Ikubor who goes by the stage name Rema is a singer-songwriter and rapper performing artist. He records rap and afro pop too. Rema was brought into the limelight after his freestyle video, to D’Prince’s Gucci Gang song
He was signed in by Mavins record under Jonzing world. In March 2019, Rema signing into Mavin was announced. This announcement was followed by the release of his EP with singles like Dumebi and Iron man that hit global charts. Also, one of his songs ‘calm down‘ had a hundred million views in not less than three months that it was released on Youtube. His songs are always in the limelight
Some believe Rema is no longer a Mavins because He is also under Jonzing World. This isn’t true. Here’s the story: Jonzing World operates under Mavin Records’ unit Mavin Global. Rema is signed to both record labels, that is, he is a Mavin artist and, at the same time, a Jonzing World artist.
Rema has won and received nominations from different award categories. He won The Next Rated Award on 19th October 2019. Rema has received nominations from The Headies, Soundcity, and BET awards. He was also nominated for BET’s Best international act
1. TIWA SAVAGE
Tiwa though no longer a member of Mavins is one of the greatest musicians to ever walk the floor of Mavins. The second richest female Nigeran artiste joined Mavin Records in 2012 and after 7 years – in the year 2019, she parted ways with Mavin Records to sign a deal with Universal Music Group. She parted ways after the expiration of her contract with the records.
She sang many award-winning songs while under the label in the likes of My Darlin, Without My Heart, and Eminado. She is called the First Lady of Mavin. She was also a part of the hit single ‘ Dorobucci’ which earned the Song of the Year Award at the MTV Africa Music Awards.
In a farewell message to her, Don Jazzy, Mavin’s CEO said the jersey as the First Lady of Mavin will not be taken away from her. She made much impact on the label. It forever lives on
