ASUU OAU Voted Void As They Failed To Conclude And Awaits NEC Decision

It is no longer news that ongoing ASUU strike is closer to it’s end than it’s longevity. This was made known after after the ASUU chairman himself confirmed that the strike would soon be called off. But in order for the strike to be called off, ASUU as a body need to collectively agree to end the strike. So, all ASUU branches across the federation would need to hold a meeting to vote on whether to suspend or prolong the strike.
A couple of institutions across the country including; Unilorin, OOU, FUTA, EKSU, Adekunle Ajasin amongst others have all agreed to call-off the ongoing strike. But Obafemi Awolowo University ASUU, have voted against the suspension of the strike.
So, as it stands votes to suspend the ongoing ASUU strike has more numbers than institutions that voted against its suspension. OAU has made her decision, we still await the final results from the ASUU NEC, which will determine if the strike will be called off or not.
