#LectureFreeDay – ASUU OAU set to protest tomorrow , Wednesday

Share

Following the ridiculous salary paid to ASUU lecturers in October, after their resumption from the 8-months break,

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) chairman has instructed ASUU members in each University to embark on a one-day nationwide protest rally over the implementation by the Federal Government of a “no-work, no-pay” policy for lecturers in the country.

ASUU OAU has decided to hold their protest tomorrow, Wednesday; we can recall that schools like UNILAG, and UNIBEN, amongst others, held their protest last week.

However, OAU has chosen Wednesday, the 23rd day of November, as their lecture free day to hold a special congress and protest rally.

Only ASUU lecturers’ classes aren’t likely to hold. However, work goes on with CONUA lecturers.

Do you think a day is really enough for this protest ? Share your thoughts in the comment section .
