After the University of Lagos increased their school fees from 20,000 to 200,000, and also seeing the University of Ibadan’s proposed school fees, we knew OAU was next! You might want to hold on to something so that you don’t get blown away by the proposed school fees. Africa’s most beautiful campus OAU senate had a meeting today! Not like the outcome of OAU Senate meetings has always been good news, but this one is a great shocker.
While it’s important to note that this fee increase remains unofficial and hasn’t yet received approval from the school management, the proposed school fees should give you insight that a significant fee hike is definitely going to happen. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that this increase isn’t unique to OAU alone; other federal & state universities in Nigeria have also raised their school fees, often by no less than 200%.
