Protest takes another turn as egungun (masquerade) takes over the protests , truly OAU is for learning and culture , Following the appointment of the New VIce chancellor,Professor Simeo Bamire, there has been an uproar among Ife indigenes. They claim an Ife indigene has never emerged as the Vice chancellor of the university and for this reason, they have been putting up all form of dramatic protest. As seen in the video below , the masquerade was carrying a sacrifice and chanting incarnations .
It seems Ife indigenes have decided to go the western and traditional way, it should be recalled that Osun worshippers also protested on campus yesterday. Our correspondent currently at Campus gate , reported that they are about to Fry Akara , seems they aren’t ready to end this protest anytime soon .
