Obafemi Awolowo University, popularly known as OAU, is a great institution of learning in Nigeria. It is a federal school, fully accredited, situated at Ile-Ife in Osun State, and has been established since 1987. The university covers an expanse of `13,000 acres of land. The university is ranked 1587th in the world. OAU is among the top five universities in Nigeria and the most beautiful of all. OAU admission requirements
- JAMB score of not less than 200.
- WAEC, GCE, or NECO results with at least 5 credits in important subjects, including English language and mathematics, and in not more than two sittings.
- OAU must be your first choice. The institution doesn’t give admission to aspirants who choose it as their second choice or lower.
- Aspirants must partake in the post-UTME exam before they can be considered for admission.
What is OAU departmental cutoff mark ?

The departmental cut-off mark for Obafemi Awolowo University is changed every year and is based on the overall performance of the students’ post-UTME exams, catchment area, and educationally less developed states. The effect of the general overall performance of the results of the students always determines the greater percentage of cutoff marks for each department.

OAU offers admission to approximately 8000 students, even though, in recent times, this number has been reduced to 5000, which, according to the school authorities, is the right amount of students they can accommodate.

OAU does not have a specific age requirement. As long as you have your results and have passed all the necessary tests, you’ll be considered for admission.

As of 2023, the cost of the OAU Post UTME form is 3000, along with additional charges of approximately 1000, resulting in a total of 3000.

As of May 14, 2024, the OAU Post UTME form has not been released. However, there is a high probability that the OAU 2024 Post UTME form will be made available before Auguat ,2024
How much is OAU acceptance fee?
In compliance with the directives of the Federal government, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has ceased the collection of acceptance fees, which differs from the previous practice in 2018 when the 20,000 acceptance fee was applicable.
How much is OAU School Fees?
The release of OAU’s 2024 school fees is pending due to speculations regarding potential increases by the Federal Government in tertiary institution fees. However, historically, OAU’s school fees have ranged between #20,000 and #35,000 but in previous years OAU school fees ranged from #76,000 – #200,000 . It is worth noting that the Medical Science program typically incurs the highest fees among the various disciplines.

Concerning the 2024/2025 academic calendar, As of May ,2024 , OAU has not given admission to any student for the 2024/2025 academic calendar.
